Turn your launch monitor into
a complete practice studio

Every shot inside the corridor extends your streak; the first one outside ends it. The tile shows the streak you are on and the best one of the session next to it, so you always know what you have to beat.

Set a goal of hits — say eight inside the corridor — and work towards it. The tile counts your hits and the shots you needed for them. Get there in fewer shots than last time and you have a new record.

Go for your highest value, or your lowest: fastest ball speed, steepest launch, most spin on a wedge, least side spin. The tile remembers your personal best and tells you when you beat it.

Choose a time, for example sixty seconds, and see how many shots you can land inside the corridor before it runs out. The clock starts on your first counted shot, so you can take your stance in peace.

A single number rarely describes a good shot. Pick several tiles — launch angle and carry side, say — give each one its corridor, and a shot only counts when every one of them is inside. Or ask for a majority instead: any two of three. A value your launch monitor could not measure never counts against you.

The classic Combine test. For every club except the driver you get a target and try to land your carry as close to it as possible — the closer you are, the higher the score. For the driver, hit as long (total distance) and as straight as possible.

On top of the Trackman score, the app shows the shots you gained (positive) or lost (negative) compared to the average PGA Tour player.

Produce stopping power. Each spin drill defines a landing corridor; land inside it and your score scales linearly with the total spin you generate per meter/yard. Hit the target spin and you score 100 — double it and you score 200.

Optionally penalize long coasting to reward true "stopping power", with configurable thresholds for negative scoring.

Great for pitch training. Two circles define a score of 100 (e.g. 2 yd) and 0 (e.g. 11 yd) around target distances. Between them the score is linear; inside the inner circle it keeps climbing above 100.

A progression variant of the target-circle drill. Land in the circle and advance to the next distance; miss and you choose what happens — retry, drop back, or restart. The goal: finish all distances in as few shots as possible.

Climb a ladder of distances, up or down, from a start to an end distance. Land a valid shot on each rung before you move on to the next — within the retries you allow, per rung or for the whole ladder.

New in 8.4: the drill builder. Start from one of five Skill Game templates or from scratch: draw target, bonus and penalty zones over your own shots, add rules on ball and club data, choose one of six ways to win, give it a name — done. Your Skill Games sit above the Precision Drills in the Drills tab, with the same Drill, Data and Table tabs, a BEST badge and a records list per game.

You can try the ball flight model and swing video every day for free (10 shots with the Foresight model, 5 swing videos) and unlock everything with an optional subscription.

TrajectoryX works with the Foresight Sports GCQuad, QuadMAX, GC3 and GC3S, the Bushnell Launch Pro — which shares the GC3 connection — the TrackMan 4 and the Full Swing KIT, as well as the Garmin Approach R10 via the E6 Connect protocol and DIY units running OpenFlight. Support for the fixed-install Foresight GCHawk and Falcon is experimental for now. The app connects directly to your launch monitor — over Wi-Fi through the unit's own hotspot or your local network, or over Bluetooth for the Foresight GCQuad and GC3 family and the Full Swing KIT, which leaves your iPhone on its normal network.

No — your practice works fully offline and all your data is stored on your device. An internet connection is only needed for online competitions and leaderboards, and for the optional AI Coach.

The Connect screen walks you through it: power the unit on, join its Wi-Fi (the app can do that for you), and the handshake runs on its own. If the unit can't be reached, the app tells you why instead of just failing — your device is on a different Wi-Fi (iPads like to hop back to a network with internet), it isn't on any Wi-Fi at all, or iOS has Local Network access switched off for the app — each with the one thing to do next. A shot that arrives but isn't recorded, say into a session opened read-only, shows a short notice saying so. Yes. Everything is saved on-device by default and nothing is sent to any server. The only exception is the optional AI Coach: when you enable it and add your own API key, your shot data is sent to the AI provider you chose. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The AI Coach analyzes your session and gives you an overall grade, your strengths, what to improve and a targeted drill — picked from the app's own drills, so you can start it right away. You bring your own API key for Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and choose the provider and model — your key stays on your device. The AI Coach is optional and stays off until you add a key; it isn't available in mainland China.

TrajectoryX is a native app for iPhone and iPad. The layout adapts to both, with extra data shown on larger screens and in landscape.

Hit your shot and TrajectoryX records your swing on its own, then plays it back in slow motion — it detects the key swing points (Start, Top, Impact, End) so you can jump straight to them and step through frame by frame. Practice swings that didn't hit a ball are flagged automatically, and when a launch monitor measured the shot, the app can trace the ball's flight into the video. No launch monitor required, and it pairs perfectly with one.

Ball-line and swing-plane guides on the video and multi-angle recording with several devices are planned for a later update.

The flight of the ball, drawn into your own video the way TV coverage traces a drive. It is not a guess from the footage: the curve is the flight the app computes from your launch monitor's data for that exact shot, laid over the frame and timed to the moment of impact — so the ball leaves the picture and the line carries on to where the app computes it to land.

Tap the tracer button in the video player. It appears whenever the clip belongs to a shot your launch monitor recorded.

Outdoors it works great — with or without a launch monitor. Indoors, we recommend using a launch monitor: it tells the app exactly when you strike the ball, so every swing is captured cleanly. Recording indoors without a launch monitor is still experimental today and keeps getting better with every update.

Yes — you can export a whole practice session, including every shot and its swing videos, as a single file and import it on another iPhone or iPad. It's ideal for backing up your best sessions, switching devices or sharing a session with your coach — no cloud account needed.

Every data tile on the range can carry a corridor — a lower and an upper limit for that value. Since 8.4 a tile with a corridor can also play a game: count your streak inside it, work towards a target number of hits in as few shots as you can, chase your highest or lowest value, or land as many shots as possible before a clock runs out. You can combine several tiles into one challenge, so that a shot only counts when every value is inside its limits, and your personal records are kept across sessions.

The 3D Range is a new way to see your shot. Pick the "3D" view on the range and TrajectoryX replays your ball flight in a full 3D driving range, built from the flight the app computes from your launch monitor's data. Follow the ball from behind, down the target line or from overhead — or take the free camera and look from anywhere — with a live tracer and a shadow path on the ground. Pinch to zoom, drag to look around and double-tap for full screen. In Settings you choose the scene (mountains or ocean, comic or realistic) and the sky.
